Saluki News from Sweden, August 2007 In Sweden there has been nine official shows this month, six kennelclub shows and two sighthound shows. At the kennelclub shows, with 2.000-4.000 entries there has been two salukis placing in the BIS-finals three times and that is Multi ch Amiyat Anakin owned by Eva Hagforsen, with Best in Show in Ronneby and BIS-3 in Nyköping and Multi Ch Wisdom’s Destiny Challenger, owned by Nicklas and Ingunn S Eriksson and Carol Waymire, with BIS-4 in Askersund. BOB at the other kennelclub shows has been Multi Ch Amiyat Ants in The Pants ( a litter sister to Anakin), Multi Ch Wisdom’s Destiny Challenger and Ch Badavie Umbar, all with high group placements.
The Sighthound shows this month was situated in Svenstavik, judged by Ray Lindholm, Sweden, with 17 entries and in Umeå, judged by Allain Campaign, with 39 entries. In Svenstavik Nord N Ch Shafaq Lihna La Waya was BOB, BIS-5 and S Ch Galerita’s Banyan was BOS and in Umeå Int Nord Ch Khalil’s Li-L Marrati was BOB and BIS, while Nord Ee Ru Ch Al Wathba Thamir Abdul-Haqq was BOS. I have no L-C news from August in Sweden. Puppies: Saluki News from Norway, August 2007 In Norway, there has been one Kennelclub show, one Sighthound specialty and one Saluki specialty, as well as 10 minor all-breed shows in August. At the Kennelclub show, which had it’s venue in Oslo, Multi Ch Qirmizi Famenne was BOB and second in group. At the minor all-breed shows, one saluki was secon in group and that was Multi Ch El-Adini Kybele. The results from the Sighthound Speicalty, located in Trondhjem has not been published. At the Saluki Specialty in Norway, Multi Ch Qirmizi Famenne, owned by Ingunn Solberg Eriksson & Nicklas Eriksson, Sweden was BIS and Badavie Gravello, owned by Grete Nell was BOS.
