Salukis USA - Texas Extended!

Hello all and welcome to SalukiOnline, the International Webpage for all happenings Saluki-wise! 

Starting off with Western Sighthound and Lompoc, we see Ch. Moshire RFR Red Sky winning the Veteran Sweepstakes under Kathy Morton, with Ch. Baghdad Almost an Angel winning Best of Opposite sex. Kathy followed with Puppy Sweepstakes winner 7Seas Int’l Safari Al Sayad and BOS winner Kyzyl Kum Temujin.

Regular classes were judged by Kathy Webb from the UK. She found her Winners Dog in Anjal Sahara Habib, who was in from Venezuela for the weekend of shows. Reserve Winners Dog went to Basra Romeo Charitas. Winners Bitch was Issibaa’s East of Eden, who was also Best of Winners. Reserve Winners Bitch was 7Seas Int’l Safari Al Sayad, a littermate to the puppy sweepstakes winner. Best of Breed was Ch. Kyzyl Kum Jinghani JC, with Best of Opposite sex going to Dual Ch. Doubletime Rockets Red Glare. Awards of Merit went to Ch. Sadik Solar Flare JC , Ch. Al Sayad Ace Athena JC, Ch. Kyzyl Kum India JC, the WD and WB.

The Saturday show at Lompoc was judged by Nicklas Eriksson of Sweden. Winners Dog on this day was Zabarre Springtime Timbavati who was also Best of Winners. Reserve Winners dog was Aurora’s Walk This Way. Winners Bitch was 7Seas Int’l Safari Al Sayad with Reserve Winners going to Bel S’Mbran Dark Lady Rose JC. Best of Breed was Dual Ch. Jamora High Society, who went on to win Hound Group 2^nd, with Best of Opposite sex going to Ch. Zabarre Solo Marcella.

Sunday was the 2^nd Lompoc show with Diane Thompson Divin of Dallas, TX, presiding.  Winners Dog was Burydown Hilerica Walker JC who went on to Best of Winners, and Reserve Winners dog was El-Ubaids Srinagar Kalif. Winners Bitch was Uziduzit Second Amendment shown by her Junior Handler Owner Lauren Chen, and the Reserve Winners Bitch went to Kyzyl Kum Zanoubia.

Lots of Salukis Specialty shows are coming up, Huron Valley Saluki Club Aug 30 and 31,  a back to back Saluki Specialty weekend with 2 breeder judges in Chelsea, MI. All breed shows follow over the next 3 days with more breeder judges! Puget Sound Saluki Club is Back to back Specialty shows on August 24^th and 25^th  in Redmond, WA followed by the All breed show Sammamish KC (entries close Aug 8^th super is Joanne Brown (360)678-9333 stevek@nas.com for the Puget Sound club.)

The Saluki Club of America Eastern Regional Specialty is September 29^th in Millwood, Va. It is held at the Warrenton KC show. (Super is MB-F (336)379-9352 mbf@infodog.com Entries close Sept 12^th.)

Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco follows on October 20^th with the Back to Back Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore shows in Pleasanton, CA, always a fun time and one of yours truly favs!
